Hello!

I'm Selene Mortimore, I'm a Fine Art student from London studying in Birmingham.

Art has been a very important part of my life for a long time, and I am so happy that it has now become my life's focus. My practice has changed a lot throughout the years, from installation, sculpture, and now to my main practice- painting.

I come from a family where there's a lot of international moving, my Father for example has lived in Amsterdam for the past 4 years, and previously he was in Thailand. This is relevant because a lot of my current work is based on the traveling I have done, and hopefully you can see the inspiration!

Amongst travel, other things such as philosophy (especially the void) informs my work, as does literature and music. If I'm not painting I'm probably reading, or writing for the indiependent - a great music, culture and politics blog set up and run by young people.

I really hope you enjoy my prints, as much as I have enjoyed creating them. As I progress there will be new things added!
